The Life Cycle Lab is growing quickly to support accelerated action to radically reduce embodied carbon from buildings and infrastructure. We are looking for applied researchers who will help develop new knowledge related to the life cycle emissions of building materials and use that information to support policymakers, designers, academics and other key partners. Ideal candidates will complement our existing expertise to ensure that the Life Cycle Lab can continue providing science-informed support where it is most needed.

The Life Cycle Lab team is growing to deepen our internal expertise and create new opportunities in the rapidly changing fields of climate change mitigation, climate policy, and carbon accounting for the built environment. We are a passionate and friendly group of experts with backgrounds in engineering, design, business, policy, environmental science, education, and communications working together to develop science-informed and politically actionable solutions for climate change.
We believe that climate solutions for the building sector will need all of our skills and perspectives to be successful. The Life Cycle Lab aspires to take an intersectional approach to climate justice, industrial emissions, building materials, and construction that requires dynamic and diverse teams. All Life Cycle Lab positions provide opportunities for learning, professional development, and continuing education.

The Life Cycle Lab is based at the College of the Built Environment in Seattle Washington, but we operate as a distributed office and many of our positions are remote-friendly.
